Billings, Montana, USA, July 29, 2014— The American Indian Foods (AIF) program administered by the Intertribal Agriculture Council (IAC) and with support from USDA-FAS will introduce Native American Indian and Alaska Native seafood products to the Hong Kong food trade during Seafood Expo Asia held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre from September 2-4, 2014.

Located at Booth 5-901, American Indian Foods will have export ready seafood products on display that are harvested and processed by Native American Indians and Alaska Natives in the United States. In addition to learning about the American Indian Foods export program, you will meet the following exhibitors listed here by company name, Tribal affiliation, location and products:

Cannon Seafood Company (Aleutian Pribilof Island Community Development Association, Alaska) – Seafood to include: pollock, pacific cod, halibut and crab.

Maniilaq Services (Inupiat Eskimo Village, Alaska) – Wild Alaskan salmon and seafood.

Swinomish Fish Co. (Swinomish, Washington) – Seafood to include: salmon, snow crab, king crab, cod, halibut and tuna.

We invite the food trade and media to come visit our booth, meet our exhibitors and learn more about high-quality, fresh and healthy seafood products available from Native American Indians and Alaska Natives.”

Foods from Native American Indians come from Tribes and Alaska Natives throughout the United States and are grown on lands of the Native American Nations or fished and harvested from their natural waters. Many of the products sold are still harvested in ways defined hundreds of years ago by the American Indian Tribes and Alaska Natives.

Food products from participants in the American Indian Foods export program include beef jerky, chillis, chocolate, popcorn, wild rice, fry bread, fruits and vegetables, meats to include buffalo, seafood/fish, spices and seasonings, maple syrup, wine and other agricultural products.

In addition to exhibiting at international and U.S. food shows, American Indian Foods export program sponsors Native Tastes cooking demonstrations, foreign buyer missions, press missions and promotional activities around the world.
